The Client:Our client is the management and operations contractor responsible for 10 nuclear sites and one hydroelectric plant in the UK. Magnox South is currently decommissioning five nuclear sites: Hinkley Point A, Berkeley, Sizewell A, Bradwell and Dungeness. All safely generated electricity during their lifetimes and the sites are in different stages of decommissioning. Bradwell is a twin Magnox reactor, undergoing decommissioning following shutdown in 2002 after 40 years of operation. The site is fully focused on completing decommissioning projects.

The Role:
Candidate would be a Structural Civil Engineer with a wealth of practical experience demonstrating pragmatic resolutions to problems encountered. Experience in Structural steelwork and cladding systems would be an necessity, the candidate would need to have on site mind set not office bound mind set. The candidate would act as the client representative whilst ensuring both statutory legislation and company standards and expectations are maintained Preparation of scope documentation, technical specifications, tender documentation and evaluation of tender returns, and provision of technical input to the project as and when required. Support project optioneering process.
