The company
My client, based in Greater Manchester is a leading food manufacturer within their category and supply quality products to several high profile customers wish to appoint a Buying Manager.
The role
Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director in a busy food manufacturing business, you will be responsible for specific categories: develop relevant, sustainable, and strategic supply chains to deliver authentic and innovative products through a focus on knowledge, quality and value. Directly supporting the sales team in creating solutions for opportunities and challenges presented. You will be able to demonstrate commercial awareness to ensure that the best and most relevant value proposition is achieved for each specific customer.
The person
Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated individual with excellent organisational and project management skills, who has the ability to prioritise, manage deadlines, has commercial awareness and interpersonal skills, you will be computer literate (particularly excel/spreadsheet manipulation) and can demonstrate a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Ideally you will have some level of experience within the food industry and will be CIPS qualified or equivalent.
