Joining as a Senior Architect you will be an integral member of the team focusing on educationally driven work for a variety of challenging projects across different work stages. Interpreting client needs, creating exceptional designs and highly detailed drawings, leading passionate teams to successfully deliver projects within financial budgets and deadlines.

The role will focus on actively working on high-level tasks and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously after assessing clients` needs, discuss objectives, agree budgets and plan your delivery.

You will be conceptually creative and innovative, providing effective designs that meet intended design goals; using logical reasoning to articulate why concepts work.

Additionally lead and assist project teams to ensure optimal efficiencies and any delays are mitigated, whilst working closely with professionals from other disciplines in other organisations, co-ordinating design teams when required.

Manage, produce and issue project documentation including detailed drawings, reports, specifications, meeting minutes, applications and contracts. Also involvement in research, test and develop solutions to architectural problems. Leading to advising clients on the most appropriate design response to satisfy all constraints and opportunities.

Attending and reporting at site meetings as required and checking on progress. As well as carrying out site inspections, valuations, issue certificates and instructions as required.

You will liaise with statutory authorities as required at different project stages. Ensure compliance with all statutory legislation. Apply for planning permission and advice from LPAs. Manage project tender processes including attending contractor interviews, assessing tender returns and advising clients. Undertake post completion assessment and de-brief for clients and building users.

For your part you will preferably be RIBA Part III, or ARB registered and possess 6 years relevant experience post qualification with at least 3 within the education sector involving direct work with clients from inception as well as experience working directly with contractors.

You should be proficient in using Revit, generally have a good BIM understanding.

Exceptional design skills with a thorough knowledge of technical and construction information.

You will have a proven track record of successful project management, leading teams and running projects. Additionally legal knowledge relating to contracts, regulations, codes etc. Also commercial awareness, promoting the practice to generate new business and optimise good relations.

Creativity and innovative is key as is the ability to communication at all levels.
