Senior Accountant

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

The Role

You will be working within the finance team for a growing boutique private equity and real estate fund services provider based in central London with the following responsibilities:

* Assisting the Group Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting requirements (including reports to be used for the preparation of the management accounts, regulatory and Tax reporting);

* Preparation and review of bookkeeping and month-end close procedures;

* Preparation of the year-end audit files;

* Preparation of VAT data to be provided to tax advisers for VAT return preparation;

* Assistance and training of the junior accountants as required;

* Review and preparation of management accounts, including all necessary journals;

* Review and preparation of payroll data on a monthly basis;

* Assist in the preparation and review of payroll and third party payments;

* Ensuring adequate accounting procedures are in place and are followed, assist with implementing improved procedures where necessary;

* Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records, communicating same to management, and assisting in their resolution

Your Experience

* Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent);

* Demonstrate full understanding of accounting;

* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;

* Strong analytical skills and a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail;

* Able to juggle a number of tasks simultaneously whilst prioritising key responsibilities;

* High level of proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
