Cedar is pleased to collaborate with an innovative renewable energy company, pioneering change in the dynamic energy market. We are assisting them in securing a Senior Accountant for their London Office. This role offers a 3-month initial contract with a competitive day rate ranging from £300-350.

The Role
This 3-month contract addresses immediate capacity needs during a demanding period, while the company experiences a significant phase of growth and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end close activities in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring the completeness of financial data.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and deferrals, maintaining detailed documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Reconcile and analyse key balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis and commentary on variances.
- Participate in process improvements to streamline month-end activities and enhance overall efficiency.
- Lead or support ad hoc finance projects, e.g. cleaning up the debtors and credits ledger.
Your Profile
Ideally, you will have:
- Prior experience in a Senior Accounting role.
- A hands-on approach to the delivery of month end, capable of handling manual tasks and driving process improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience in an interim/contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
- The rate of £300-350 per day represents a fair value or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
