Semi Skilled Engineers / Flow Controllers

We are recruiting for 3 Semi Skilled Engineers / Flow Controllers to work for a large site based service team.

Responsible for:

• Resolving jams around the materials handling system
• Identifying and flagging recurring problems so that the root cause can be fixed
• Loading foil onto wrapping machines
• Cleaning around the materials handling system
• Duties described in the Organisation’s SQE Management System

Reporting:

• Reporting of jambusting and cleaning activities
• Use of the Maximo maintenance management system and the Mobile
Maintenance Solution

Objectives:

• Ensure good flow around the system
• Ensure wrapping machines are promptly re-loaded with foil
• Maintain the cleanliness of the system
• Maintain good relations with operational staff

Skills:

• Physically fit
• Pro-active
• Good communicator

These roles would be suitable for someone that has just finished an Engineering based Apprenticeship or Qualification, or for a Trades Person who is good with hand tools that is looking for more of a factory based role.

The salary is £26,000per year.

This will be initially on a 6-2 / 2-10 shift system Monday – Friday but will move on to a 4 on 4 off shift system in the New Year that will consist of 2 days and 2 night shifts.

Own transport is essential as the role will involve 6am starts and finishes.
