Section Controller

We are looking to recruit a temporary Section Controller, who will report to a Shift Supervisor within our National Distribution Centre in Coventry, close to Junction 2 of the M6, from where we distribute to all our stores throughout the UK and Ireland

We are the world’s leading retailer of Toys, Babycare and Family Leisure products.

The Section Controller’s duties will include:
Managing a team of permanent and temporary employees, loading both palletised and handball trailers to a tight schedule
Ensuring processed goods from both the carton sorter and from the manual processing areas are loaded in strict rotation and that all pallets and loose loaded trailers are fully cubed out
Working closely with the site shunter to ensure full trailers are securely sealed and parked up and that empty trailers are brought onto the bay as required

The successful Section Controller will have:
Previous experience of co-ordinating outbound operations within a fast paced, high energy environment would be an advantage
Good basic management skills are essential
Excellent communication and coaching skills
Ability to engage and motivate a team to meet the required targets

Based on a standard working week of 13:30 to 22:00 Monday to Friday, this is a salaried position with a salary of between £26,000and £26,000 per year, dependent upon experience. There will be a need for flexibility and extra hours as the demands of the business dictate. The role is offered with an immediate start and will run through until Christmas at the soonest.
