Salary: £33,600 – £40,800 per year
ABOUT THE COMPANY
They are a successful and well established precision engineering company producing specialist tooling and general subcontract machining to a wide range of industries. The machine shop consists of 20 machine tools (Millers, Lathes) and has had some recent investment into new machinery
THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to increase in customer base a vacancy has arisen for an experienced Production Scheduler / Estimator to join the business on a Permanent basis
SALARY: £33,600 – £40,800dependent on experience
HOURS: Mon – Thurs 08:00 -16:30 Friday 08:00 – 15:00

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
To take ownership of incoming customer queries, quote for work and plan the Engineering process
KEY DUTIES
– Act on new business enquiries/orders
– Calculate quotations
– Recommend suitable material
– Route plan the tooling required to machine the parts
– Reading engineering drawings
– Update regular customer orders to reflect changes production costs
– Maintain regular contact with existing customers and provide a technical point of contact to new customers
– Assist with quality assurance
THE PERSON
– To be successful on this role, you must ideally:
– Be time served or apprentice trained in Precision Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
– Have a good knowledge of machine tools such as millers, turners & grinders
– Be able to interpret engineering drawings
– Have experience engineering with various materials
– Have a good understanding of heat process treatment
