Salary: £36,000 – £72,000 per year
Scaffolding Design Engineer – required for my client who are a leading scaffolding and access specialist company in East Edinburgh. This opportunity for a Structural Engineer / Temporary Works Design Engineer is to join an award winning company that pride themselves on their professionalism, career opportunities and their commitment to sustainability.
The Scaffolding Design Engineer will have a degree within Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on Structures and experience of calculations. Any experience within the Temporary Works and Scaffolding sector would be highly advantageous. The Structural Engineer will be providing detailed design drawings, structural calculations and design risk assessments for a range of commercial, residential and industrial projects.

Scaffolding Design Engineer Position Overview
Prepare scaffolding design drawings (AutoCAD & PDF)
Design bespoke access and support scaffolds in Tube & Fitting falling out with TG20:21
Design bespoke access and support scaffolds using Cuplok System
Structural Analysis – providing calculation reports to substantiate designs
Attending meetings and offering engineering based advice to our Operations Team
Site visits – (pre-starts, progress visits, inspections)
Scaffolding Design Engineer Position Requirements
Degree qualified within an Engineering discipline
Experience of scaffolding design
Experience in both Tube & Fittings and Cuplok design.
Knowledge of the latest British and European codes of practice
AutoCAD skills are essential, as well as good general IT skills
Ability to read and fully understand engineering plans
UK Driving Licence
