Sas Data Engineer

Salary: £54,000 – £66,000 per year

Role & Responsibilities:

* Working as a SAS data engineer delivering within the large scale and complex projects

* Operating at all stages of the data engineering lifecycle

* Working with data virtualisation solutions (Tableau, Power BI, SAS Visual Analytics)

* Performance tuning and optimisation of live production systems

* Maintaining and supporting existing platforms

Requirements:

* STEM Degree; 2:1 and above

* 3+ years of production experience in leading and designing data management solutions (data warehousing, data marts, data stores), facilitating reporting, data analytics and insights

* SAS Certifications

* Technical expertise in key technologies: SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Programming (Enterprise Guide or Base SAS), SAS Data Preparation Studio, SAS Data Explorer, Scheduling & Data Modelling

* Awareness of Cloud environments, AWS, Azure or Google

* Previous experience working on data migration

* Extensive data warehousing and ETL experience

* Python, R, Airflow, AWS Kinesis, Data APIs/Restful web services, Kafka or similar tool will be beneficial

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

* Able to work as part of a team, collaborate and build strong working relationships
