Sales Support Executive

One of the UKs leading UK based International trailer operators are looking for a Sales Support Executive
1.They operate a fleet of 72 of their own modern curtain side trailers to and from Western Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Northern France and Western Germany) providing export and import groupage, part and full load services.
2.Provide European freight forwarding services to every other European destination that is not serviced by their own fleet of trailers.

Turnover £13.5 Million
Pre-Tax Profit £950k (Year Ending Sept 2012)

Working as part of a team of 11 the Sales Support Executive would report into the Operations Director.

Skills Required

Young / Energetic / Enthusiastic
Ideally with transport / shipping experience (could be from a commercial background working in the export / import department of a manufacturing firm)
Previous Sales, Internal Sales or Sales Support Experience
Be Self Motivated
Tenacious
Able to work under pressure using their own initiative
Good Communicator
Good Organisational Skills
Good IT Skills including Excel
Numerate

Job Role

1; Maximising the potential of new / existing clients / building strong relationships.

2; Managing key Accounts, booking in deliveries and completing weekly KPIs.

3; Under direction from Ops Director maximising the daily / weekly orders by contacting specific clients- chasing export / Import jobs or domestic jobs.

4; Operations / Sales correspondence / letters / emails / faxes

5; During busy periods helping ops team raise job files.

6; Responsible in conjunction with Sales team for producing
Weekly minutes from Wired Contact CRM- with notes for each customer.

7; Calculating freight quotations. (Training required)

8; Submission of quotations to existing clients / follow ups / closing and winning orders.

9; Attending the Weekly Sales Meeting and presenting weekly sales activity discussing client calls / quotations / customer service issues.

10; Recording the quotations that are generated each week and looking at orders won versus orders lost

Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.30pm
