Automotive Sales Manager required in Dorset.

Our client, an automotive main dealer in the Dorset area is looking to recruit, an experienced used car sales manager for their busy site.

You must have recent, main dealer experience as a car sales manager to apply for this role.

Main Purpose of Position:

Independently managing the retail used sales business, incorporating all the Company’s products and services.
Making important decisions regarding the sales unit.
Achieving optimal utilisation of the market, a high level of customer satisfaction and high yields for the department in accordance with the Company management goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing the Used Sales function and assuming full control of the dept.

Duties involved are:

To continually review the financial situation, examining all accounts, daily and weekly operating controls and dealer composite figures and franchise/industry KPI’s, taking corrective measures and actions as deemed necessary.
Reconciliation of management accounts versus forecast using Kerridge.
Take steps to increase market penetration in used sales, in order to achieve budget.
Manage overage stock to within company guidelines.
Plan, organise, direct, coach, lead and motivate the Sales Team taking steps to create a professional and customer focussed environment..
Maintain effective control of expenses in line with budget objectives.
Ensure cost effective used vehicle stock management within funding plan constraints
To develop and maintain an effective relationship with the New Car Sales Manager to jointly deliver the site unit targets.
To develop and maintain an effective relationship with the Group F&I Manager to deliver planned F&I penetration and income.
Agreed sales targets are monitored with everyone involved on a regular reviewed basis and performance aligned.
Ensure sales training needs are met efficiently and are in line with operational and block exemption requirements.
Maintain Company standards and controls.
Ensure Company HR policies are followed correctly.

Used car sales management experience is desired

This role is based in Dorset and is looking for Sales Managers with recent, main dealer experience and a proven track record.
