Sales Manager

To support and develop new business growth, we are working closely with one of our plastics manufacturing partners to appoint an experienced Sales Manager with proven Plastics Packaging to cover the UK.

Job Overview: Our client manufactures a wide range of packaging products for the food & DIY markets. Due to continued on-going development they are looking to increase their market standing and are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing current relationships as well as developing new business leads with all market sectors.

As Sales Manager you will be expected to create long-term lasting relationships, understand the customers’ needs and how meeting those needs will generate growth opportunities for the organization; both new business & organic growth/account management.

The successful Sales Manager will manage all aspects of our client’s relationship with a portfolio of customers and identify and exploit market opportunities within existing and new customers. You will compile market reports for Senior Management and compile market intelligence pertaining to customers, competitors and market trends.
The Candidate:

• Proven experience of achieving targets in the Sales environment
• Strong negotiator
• Financial awareness
• Excellent influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good presentation skills
• Demonstrate a desire to succeed and achieve results
• Strong commercial acumen

Ideally you will be an experienced Sales Manager and “New Business” Developer with experience of operating across a range of markets at Senior Level and with National responsibility. You will be able to manage and resolve commercial opportunities and issues and be involved in the negotiation of major tranches of business and conduct day to day negotiations.

Knowledge and experience of injection moulding is highly desirable although not essential.
