ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Sales Account Manager based in Peterborough with immediate effect, for our client who continue to dominate their market nationally.
Sales / Account Manager
ALH are looking to fill a full time, home/office based, permanent contract working within the sales team for our client who continue to grow. You will be primarily responsible for display advertising on their business publication, but also tasked with cross-selling into the company’s other publications and online offerings as well as promoting direct mail, print services and digital innovation.
This role would suit a driven and talented professional, who is happy to look for new business, as well as maintain current accounts.
Principal Responsibilities
* Managing and maintaining a print title
* Digital sales – new and existing products
* Maintaining and developing print display sales
* Sourcing new clients from competitor journals, internet research, press releases, trade events and other sources
* Plan campaigns with media agencies
* Attending client meetings and industry events when necessary, and provide feedback
* Understanding the full portfolio in order to cross sell publications and services
* Meeting sales targets, objectives and standards of performance
* Handling in coming and outgoing telephone and email enquiries about placing display advertisements
* Providing support to other members of the sales team as required
Desirable Candidate Qualities/Skills
* Solid sales experience in digital and print media, both telephone and face-to-face
* Keen interest (experience) in digital opportunities
* Business development skills
* Ability to be pro-active and work on own initiative
* Professional and confident in a client focused environment
* Exemplary telephone manner
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexible team worker, able to prioritise
* Competent in Word and Excel and the ability to work remotely
* Good commercial appreciation
* Driving license
