RTA Claims Handler

Salary: £26,000 per year

You will have an interesting job and be supported all the way through to becoming a fully qualified solicitor and beyond.

You will be joining a leading consumer law firm with an outstanding reputation – a multi award winner for both their legal services and their employee teams.

You will be joining their Official Injury Claims Team – it is a fast moving department with “soft-touch” approach to dealing with new claims. And you will be part of this team that is leading the way in dealing with the new Whiplash Reforms being implemented on 31st May this year.

Your day to day role will be:

Taking calls from new clients

Ensuring an outstanding level of service is offered to both new clients and work partners

Assessing liability and prospects of success – making decisions if new cases can be accepted

Identifying cases that can be handled outside of the OIC Portal

Submitting claims to the new Official Injury Compensation Portal

Submitting claims to the existing MOJ Portal

Advising clients

Client liaison for documentation

General admin

Please note main working hours are 9am to 5.30pm but over an 8 week period you will do 4 early shifts of 8am to 4.30pm, and 4 late shifts of 11.30am to 8pm. Plus one Saturday 9am to 5pm every 8 weeks and one Sunday 10am to 4pm every 8 weeks – with a day off in lieu.

Our client is an award-winning solicitors based in the heart of Wilmslow. They have a dynamic support team for their RTA Team to help handle an increase in workload – it’s all down to their success!

You will ideally have some experience of handling RTA claims and legal customer service.

Or you will have solid customer service experience educated to at least A Level and want a role that will ultimately offer you a real career.

So, what is this role all about?

You will handle both inbound and outbound telephone calls and provide clear advice and support to clients, insurers, solicitors and courts – full training will be given and you will soon be a confident expert!

You will provide great admin support to the Fee Earning team – they do say thank you so you will be appreciated!

Preparing and modifying documents – correspondence, emails, Counsel instructions and preparing Court documentation – so you will pride yourself on the accuracy of your work

You will be pro-active with a real “can-do” approach to work.

You will love the variety of multi-tasking. You will have a warm and personable approach and enjoy speaking to clients.

You will be good with Word and Excel.
