Room Leader

Salary: £34,980 – £36,960 per year

We are recruiting for an experienced Room leader to join a lovely nursery in based in Fulham. Hammersmith Candidates will need to have excellent communication skills, an interest in child development and a good working knowledge of EYFS

Person Specification:

NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification 

Experience of working in a childcare setting and supporting children’s development

Track record of involvement in Ofsted Inspections

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Room leader responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a role model and directing staff in the room
• Carrying out risk assessments
• Compliance with EYFS and planning exciting age appropriate activities
• Key worker responsibilities, observing children and recording their development
• Building positive relationships with parents
• Working to nursery policy and procedures in relation to Safeguarding, Health & Safety
• Attending parent’s evenings and supporting open days
• Working 40 hours per week
