Job Description

Salary: Up to £40,000
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Head Office – West Didsbury

The Retrofit Surveyor will co-ordinate and deliver retrofit projects across Great Places’ homes. The Surveyor will take responsibility for overseeing the assessment of dwellings, the identification, specification and evaluation of energy efficiency measures for installation at a given dwelling and their subsequent monitoring and evaluation.

What you’ll need:

  • To project manage the retrofit works on site from start to finish including planning, organising and managing each project
  • To provide consultants and contractors with informed advice and support
  • To provide assurance that project risks are being effectively managed and quality is being maintained
  • Identify and provide solutions for possible risks to the retrofit process
  • To liaise with our customers before, during and after the retrofit works
  • Undertake pre and post works evaluations to determine the overall success and ensure that lessons are learned for future projects
  • Report on measures and targets at regular intervals
  • Effectively manage and forecast project budgets

What we need from you:

  • Qualified to degree level in surveying or a relevant field
  • Experience of deep retrofit in the domestic sector
  • Experience in business development / networking
  • Have an excellent knowledge of building physics particularly insulation, ventilation.
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective liaison with colleagues and other stakeholders to give information, find information and resolve problems
  • Organisation and ability to time-manage work load
  • Able to deliver a high standard of customer service
  • The ability to develop and project a positive image of Great Places through personal, written and oral skills
