Residential Support Worker

A brilliant opportunity for a support worker to gain experience in residential settings with young adults. You will need a full, clear and enhanced DBS covering adults and children. The client has requested someone with some experience within supported settings. You need to be confident and competent at lone working and flexible enough to complete sleep ins.

As a support worker for this well established organisation you will promote and support independence to vulnerable young people.

Some of the key responsibilities you may undertake are:

*You will advise and assist the clients to access support in developing life skills, such as: budgeting, reducing debt, completing forms, healthy eating, personal well being and personal safety.
* Complete risk and need assessments and support plans
*To develop, support and promote a strong customer focused performance culture within accommodation services
*To empower customers – not solving their problems but teaching them how to do so.

It is important that you work well under pressure and are confident enough to make decisions using your initiative.
