Salary: £26,000 per year
Due to our on-going success and our plans for continuous development, we are recruiting for Residential Support Workers to join our adult provision based at Breagha House, Hayton. Breagha House, meaning “splendid and beautiful”, is in the small village of Hayton which is 3.5 miles from the market town of Retford.
This role is a working 38 hours per week on 3 week rolling rota on a shift basis; including Early, Late and Weekend shifts.
About The Job:
Reporting to the Senior Residential Support Worker the Residential Support Worker is responsible for supporting the young adults in their home and the wider community. You will also provide residents with a care and support service which is appropriate to their individual needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible within the home and in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing the behaviours of the residents
• Promote independence skills and encourage a high standard of personal hygiene for all residents.
• Contribute to the development of the residents with both practical and emotional support, to enable them to participate in the planning and decision making of the home, e.g. domestic and housekeeping services, leisure activities etc.
• Prepare and assist residents in preparing meals on a daily basis in accordance with good health and hygiene standards.
• As a term of employment you may be required to comply with any additional duties or tasks along with change of hours made of you by the Unit Manager as reasonably requested to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the home.
Experience Skills & Qualifications
• Experience of providing care and support to adults, young adults or children.
• To have good oral and written communication skills
• Be computer literate.
• Experience of working with adults with disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour
• A full driving license is desirable but not essential.
Remuneration Package
The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package that will consist of a basic Salary: £26,000(£26,000 per year) as well as comprehensive training and other company benefits such as; Pension, Life Assurance, Child Care Voucher Scheme and not to forget our Stunning Work Locations.
