Salary: £84,000 – £90,000 per year
Regulatory Reporting Analyst with Consultancy experience ideally within the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to join a global software solutions provider within the Financial services sector. Travel to India required.
Initially the focus will be on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reporting requirements, although there will be subsequent opportunities to work on other regulatory reporting solutions for other jurisdictions
Key requirements for the role are:
– A comprehensive knowledge of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulatory reporting requirements particularly with respect to the implementation of Basel III requirements and of the
changed reporting arising from the RBI Automated Data Flow requirements;
– An ability to use this knowledge to analyse the requirements and prepare data specifications and test cases
– First-rate inter-personal skills, since a key element of the role will be sharing regulatory knowledge and working collaboratively with product development teams and partners.
Experience / Skills required:
– Degree level education
– Ideally a Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of post-certification experience
– 10+ years of experience in a major banking financial institution with a significant portion spent on the analysis and/or preparation of regulatory returns, specifically as submitted by banks
to the Reserve Bank of India
– Excellent fluency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Hindi and/or Marathi as a secondary language
– Excellent knowledge of IGAAP
– Broad knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP reporting
– Excellent understanding of Basel III pillars, and the impact of the same on Indian as well as other financial institutions across the world.
– Excellent PC skills with specialised knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications
– Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle Financials, SAS, and other similar industry risk engines
– Working knowledge of a business intelligence reporting tool (E.g. Business Objects, Hyperion, Essbase etc)
– Confidence to be able to constructively challenge the business on requirements as and when appropriate.
– Excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to influence and mentor others.
Frequent travel to India and possibly Hong Kong or Singapore may be required.
Salary negotiable depending on experience
Based in Central London or, if preferred India
