Salary: £30,000 per year
Excellent opportunity for a Research Engineer to join the R&D department of a major mechanical engineering company.
Based Leeds, salary approx c£30,000.
THE ROLE
* Research, testing & analysis of product performance and reliability.
* Designing engineering systems to assess the benefits of certain technologies.
* Carry out engineering calculations.
* Enhancement of the design using 3D modelling and layout drawings.
* Transforming creative ideas into innovative engineering solutions.
* Able to work within a team to handover projects on time and to budget.
THE PERSON
* Some post-graduate experience required, ideally in a research and development role in a mechanical engineering environment.
* Strong IT and software user including CAD & Solid Edge for 3D and CFD modelling.
* A good understanding required of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
* A degree in a mechanical/chemical engineering subject is essential.
