Registered Children’s Home Manager
Northampton
Up to £44,500 (including bonus + on-call)
My client is a growing provider of residential care homes for children and young people in the East Midlands. They now need an experienced Manager to run one of their homes in Northampton. The home is an established 3 bed EBD unit.
Duties for the role of Registered Manager will include:
* Taking total responsibility for the management of the care and therapy within the Home
* Providing the optimum caring and therapeutic environment for the young people
* Dealing with all referrals and arranging admissions to the home
* Ensuring all standards and legal requirements are being met
To be successful in this role you must possess:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this as soon as possible
* A minimum of 2 year’s management experience in a similar setting
* A good working knowledge of the Children Act (1989), Children’s Home Regulations (England) 2015 and the Care Standards Act (2002)
* Proven ability to engage effectively with children and young people
* The ability to work as part of a team
* Effective communication skills including oral, written and body language
* Accurate recording and documenting skills
* UK/EU driving licence
