Regional Manager (Contract Cleaning) – Maternity Cover

Salary: £48,000 per year

My client was formed in 1985 and have over thirty years experience in providing tailored support services (cleaning, manned guarding and buildings maintenance) to suit the needs and budget of their clients. The company serve a client base across the south of England, from the south coast, into the Thames Valley and east into London. Their mantra is to create long term partnerships with their clients offering competitive pricing along with superior levels of customer service. I am currently working in partnership with them to find a Fixed Term Contract Regional Manager to cover maternity leave for at least 1 year.

The role holder will report into to the Head of Operations and will support and guide their Area Managers (2) (who in turn have approximately 20 Supervisors and 100 Operatives to oversee) in the on-going operation and development of their services to ensure exceptional service standards, the very highest levels of client satisfaction and as well as continuous improvement and innovation. The region covers sites in London travel zones 1-4 and comprises mainly of private sector sites, mainly offices, with some retail and few private schools (approximately 50 sites in total).

Key Responsibilities of the Regional Manager

* Drive the culture of high standards and best quality service for Clients

* Play an active role in the operational strategy and its implementation

* Overall responsibility for smooth running of all contracts within Central London area

* Management of 2 direct reports and overseeing performance of the on-site teams through regular audits, KPIs and client/site visits

* Direct responsibility for managing key accounts

* Take full responsibility for all Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety issues and ensure compliance with company policies and arrangements including the effective closing out of audit action plans

* Compliance with all contractual requirements i.e. site budgets, training of staff, HR matters, payroll, etc.

* Take full ownership of the region

* The Regional Manager should have a good technical understanding and have broad experience at a senior level in the contract cleaning or soft services sector.

Candidates for this role will reside within the M25 or close by. This position would be suitable for an individual with some experience in Facilities Management, soft or hard FM but a contract cleaning background is advantageous. To be successful in this job you will also have excellent communication and numerical skills and good MS Office skills. A company vehicle or travel card will be provided. Flexibility with working unsociable hours is required, with some home working permitted.

Salary £48,000, company vehicle, IT equipment, 23 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, NEST pension scheme
