Position: Regional Maintenance Technician (Supermarkets)
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: £30,564basic, plus vehicle
45 hours per week
My Facilities Management client is looking to recruit a Regional Maintenance Technician to cover supermarkets across South Yorkshire. This position will be home based and will cover approximately 15 – 18 stores.
The ideal person will be a Time served plumber/carpenter/joiner with an appropriate building, qualification.
You will be responsible for the general maintenance & repair of building fabric in stores, ensuring that work is carried out in an efficient & cost-effective manner, whilst complying with laid-down H&S policy.
As well as responding to service calls from the Helpdesk to carry out reported repairs you will have weekly/monthly Maintenance checks, both legal and statutory to complete to the required deadline.
Prioritising maintenance & repair work to achieve agreed timescales is a key part of the role.
ESSENTIAL
• Building Trade Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds)
• General Building repairs
• Ability to maintain/repair a range of building fabrics and ground works, to recognised
• standards
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Helpful/friendly manner
• Customer focused
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work at heights
• Competent in the use of steps and ladders
• Current driving licence
• Physically fit
• Willingness to work flexible hours
DESIRABLE
• GCSE standard
• Apprentice served builder/joiner with appropriate City & Guilds qualification
