Reconciliations Team Manager – Source to pay
£36,000 – £40,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester city centre, hybrid working
We’re looking for a Reconciliations Team Manager to join our Source to Pay team within our Co-op Business Services (CBS) function.
In this role, you’ll lead a team of reconciliation advisors in an inclusive way, making sure that they complete accurate reconciliations within the agreed timescales. We’ll also look to you to oversee our supplier accounts, making sure the balances are under control and up to date. What you’ll do
* Lead a team of reconciliation advisors, supporting their development, delegating work, and acting as a point of contact for any issues in the team
* Support the team with completing balance sheet recs and vendor accounts accurately and on time on a monthly basis, assisting with resolving any outstanding reconciliations queries.
* Make sure supplier account balances are up to date and any issues are worked through with the supplier
* Make sure the controls the team work with mitigate any risks
* Build strong relationships with the wider teams across the business, keeping up to date of any changes in the business and communicating these effectively to the team
* Lead on continuous improvement initiatives to make sure the reconciliation team is working in the most efficient way and is providing an excellent service
* Monitor the team KPIs and provide insights on performance against these to the Payments Manager
This role would suit people who have
* An AAT qualification (or similar) or currently working towards one
* Previous accounting and/or reconciliations experience with an understanding of what controls are needed throughout the process
* Previous line management experience with the ability to motivate and coach colleagues
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume workflow
* Strong relationship building and influencing skills with internal and external partners at all levels
* Good analytical and Excel skills
