Raw Materials Specification Technologist (Haccp)

Our client is a branded convenience food business that strongly believes convenience doesn’t mean compromise on taste. They have an opportunity for a Raw Materials Specification Technologist to join their team in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Working with the supplier assurance team, reporting to the Supplier Assurance and Specifications Technologist, you will be responsible for risk assessing and validating the raw material data received from suppliers, ensuring it meets the required standards. Utilising your experience in a similar role, you will be accustomed to reviewing raw material specification data and liaising with suppliers to glean clarification before approval. Methodical and meticulous, you will keep abreast of legislation and retailer policies and codes of practice to ensure they conform to the necessary requirements. Liaising with internal departments and suppliers, you will ensure that all documentation is updated and help to maintain our database.

To be successful you will possess a food related qualification and have gained experience of assessing raw material supplier data. Analytical, you will be quick to interpret information, accurately calculating the food safety aspects and communicating the results to the team. You should have a good understanding of allergens, palm oil requirements and HACCP.
