ATA Recruitment is supporting a leading developer of railway Traffic Management software and simulation systems recruit an experienced Contracts and Commercial Manager. This represents a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company at the start of what will be an exciting year.
Role Description
The role of the Contracts and Commercial Manager is to oversee all contractual and commercial elements of current live projects and bid work, to manage variations and maintain margins.
As the client interface for all contractual matters as well as dealing with all internal stakeholders, the Contracts and Commercial Manager will;
* Analyse and report upon commercial risk within projects
* Negotiate contract terms with customers to deliver desired outcomes
* Support project leaders in contract variation negotiation and claims management
* Contribute to contract financial planning and cash flow management
* Perform as the contract terms advisor for company procurement issues
This will all be associated with the delivery of Railway Traffic Management solutions for real time train timetabling, simulation and control.
Required Experience
The successful candidate will be a commercial and contracts expert, preferably familiar with the rail sector and particularly Network Rail’s suite of contracts (NR2, NR12, NR18)
With experience taking contractual responsibility for high value, high profile technology or infrastructure projects, the successful candidate will be a strong negotiator with experience both pre and post contract.
Candidates who have experience both client and supplier side will be preferred.
A minimum of an HND combined with the above experience is required to be considered for this role.
