Salary: £42,000 – £50,400 per year

Quantity Surveyor – WHQS

Leading Social Housing – WQHS contractor specialising in Social Housing and Planned Maintenance projects; Kitchens and bathrooms refurb, external decorations, roofing, heating, rewiring etc, offers an exciting opportunity for Site Managers to work on refurbishment projects in the South West.

All projects are Social Housing – Planned Maintenance partnering contracts with Housing Associations. Individual projects range in value from £200K to circa £15Million.

The Decent Homes renewal project is underway and the role would suit a Quantity Surveyor (preferably with a few years’ experience) looking for a challenge with the opportunity of being part of a dynamic fast growing team in the South West area. Ideally you will be degree qualified, ambitious, flexible and keen to learn my client’s practices and procedures. This position would suit an assistant QS working towards project surveyor, as the position is supported by a visiting senior QS (who was responsible for initially setting up the scheme).

As the Quantity Surveyor:

* General Quantity Surveying / Commercial activities to meet the Project objectives including.

* Providing advice; guidance and support on such matters to the Project team

* Cost control; preparation of valuations and administration of sub-contractor accounts; Understanding of the contractual, commercial and legal processes relating to the project.

On offer for the successful Quantity Surveyor is a highly competitive salary up to £42,000 – £50,400 (dependant on experience) as well as the option of a car or car allowance, benefits and a generous bonus scheme.
