Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £26,000 per year

Time 4 are excited to be working with one of the UKs premiere names in construction who are synonymous with delivering largescale projects across the education and healthcare sectors across Britain. Due to their continuous success in wining and delivering projects they have an opportunity for a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join their Caerphilly based school refurbishment project.

As Quantity Surveyor your first project will be starting on a £5 million school refurbishment on the outskirts of Cardiff. This project is a full refurbishment and part of the SEWSCAP scheme

As a Quantity Surveyor based in Cardiff you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day commercial life cycle of their education projects including schools and universities, including:

* Preparing and submitting monthly valuations

* Carrying out due diligence on contractual documents

* Pricing and submitting variations to sub-contractors by liaising with estimating, design and site team and then liaise with main contractor to agree variations

* Attending design meetings with clients and the design team to provide commercial support to designers

* Although this initial role Will be based in Caerphilly you will be expected to travel from the Cardiff area to sites around South Wales and the South West

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in the education sector, working through the full lifecycle of the package from start to final sign off. This position would ideally suit an assistant quantity surveyor looking to make the next set up to Surveyor,

Due to the nature of the role is essential you have a minimum of two years’ experience and have worked on projects in excess of £5 million.
