Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £42,000 per year

A fantastic opportunity has come available for a Quantity Surveyor to work with our Client in Wakefield on a permanent basis. Salary starting from £42,000up to £45,000 (depending on experience) + Package

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for project estimation and other works pertaining to financial aspect of the projects.

To be successful in the role Quantity Surveyor you will:

• Working with the project team to ensure consistent delivery in line with cost and profit parameters
• Managing subcontractor procedures and processes
• Supporting in the provision of monthly reports to our housing association customer, ensuring accurate forecasting and full information around variations and contractual notices
• Ensuring full contractual and monetary entitlement in the most advantageous terms to our business

The ideal candidate for this Quantity Surveyor role will have the following:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
• Excellent commercial awareness with good legal / contractual knowledge and commercial contracting experience
• Strong data interrogation skills and proficiency in MS Excel and Access
• Excellent attention to detail, a “can-do” attitude and the ability to function as part of a high-performing team
• Highways experience desirable but not essential
