Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £60,000 – £69,600 per year

Clearfield are current recruiting a QS for a fit out client in Warrington. 

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of QS/commercial management of projects and risk management. Ideally you will have experience working with Tesco or a similar retail..

You’ll be responsible for the commercial control of various main-contract and sub-contract packages for Tesco Stores Limited, the tendering and appointment process, materials procurement, cost control and final accounts. You’ll demonstrate your expertise for controlling all surveying aspects of contracts. Using your strong project surveying skills you’ll ensure that all costs are effectively managed and income is maximised on all projects and ensure projects are consistently delivered on time and within budget. You’ll have sound working knowledge of all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements allowing you to manage risk and finance

Other responsibilities and duties include:

· Attending site surveys/scope of works meetings

· Commercial management of subcontractors

· Negotiation of final accounts

· Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities

· Performing risk and value management and cost control

· Advising on procurement strategy

· Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks

· Preparing and analysing costing for tenders

· Tender adjudication and procurement of subcontractors

· Prepare and present project cost reports

· Analysing outcomes and preparing detailed progress reports

· Valuing completed work and arranging payments with our Finance Team

· Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
