Quality Technician/Site Auditor Construction – London/M3 Corridor – £48,000 Circa + Car and Benefits package

One of the markets leading construction companies are looking to recruit a specialist Quality Technician to add to their thriving and successful SHEQ team. Being a building envelope specialist this client prides themselves on their impressive portfolio featuring iconic buildings such as the new Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 building and the London Aquatics Centre for the 2012 Olympics plus many more major infrastructure projects not only in the UK but also internationally.
You will be committing to and attending all Health, Safety and Quality training as you will be assisting in preparation of all QA plans and inspections that are necessary on site. You will have close contact with Site managers/Project Managers and main contractor at site level from beginning to execution of all projects to ensure all quality reports and standards are up to date and managed to the highest standard. Within this role you will also be responsible to prepare reports for each individual projects visiting ensuring that you provide written and photographic evidence to record site and management team and enter it onto the company system.
Aside from the technicalities within this position the right candidate will have great initiative and will take ownership for all the work they complete in order to represent the company’s interests in an appropriate manor. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as this position requires communication with all site personnel, clients and suppliers.
It is essential that all applicants have experience working for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor in the curtain walling/glazing sector and ideally have experience in modular building and roofing sectors.

Qualifications/Skills

NEBOSH Construction Qualification or equivalent
Construction related degree or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with main contractors on large curtain walling/glazing projects up to £5million
Knowledge of using Microsoft office
Track record of successful project completion
Knowledge and experience of Roofing, Cladding & Glazing Projects
