Salary: £38,400 per year

Our client provides quality home care services and is now looking to recruit a Quality and Performance Manager ideally covering the South East and the West.

Job objectives and responsibilities

•The post holder will be required to assist the Head of Quality and Performance in implementing systems for monitoring and reviewing activity within the organisation and in line with regulatory and legislative requirements, analysing and reporting on performance information and providing advice and support to branch managers.
•Support local branches to implementing the Company’s quality assurance procedures, and ensuring that all aspects of care delivery are carried out to a high quality standard.

Main duties

•Ensuring that the Company’s activity is fully compliant with the Care Act and Health and Social Care Act; and conforms in all respects with the standards and requirements of CQC/CSSIW and of any Local Authority with which the Company deals with.
•Keep abreast of changes in health and social care and monitor branch compliance in accordance with the regulatory and legislative requirements and Company’s agreed Policies and Procedures.
•Drive Health and Social Care, Health, Safety and Environment and quality improvement by developing and implementing best practices initiatives across the region.
•To ensure all members of staff are aware of their responsibilities to Safeguard Adults at Risk and maintain a proactive approach to promoting the well being of all service users.
•Where directed and working with the Learning and Development team to ensure that all branches are aware of local professional development and ensure local branches have access to professional development.
•Carry out audits and ensure all local branches are maintaining full, up-to-date and accurate records and files of all area support-workers and service users, in line with statutory requirements and Company procedures. Ensure that standard across the company is implemented, utilising best practice.
•To identify where resource shortfalls are adversely affecting service delivery and to make recommendations in relation to priorities and solutions.
•Were a branch is newly acquired or concerns have been raised internally or externally ensure branch has adequate support and tools to ensure full compliance and appropriate policies and procedures are in place.
•Provide advice and support to new managers to ensure branch managers are supported and inducted effectively into the role.
•Attending the Company’s regular Quality Meetings, and otherwise liaising and exchanging information regularly with the Operation Directors.
•Manage, coordinate and track complaints service, ensuring appropriate systems are in place, so all complaints are processed and resolved in a timely, fair and transparent manner.
•Act as a member of the Regional Management Team, managing key stakeholders and service users and ensure the profile of the business to service users is positive.
•To serve as a mentor and coach to senior staff (including Branch Managers) when required.
•To develop, track and monitor action plans
•Ensuring the Company’s vision and values and principles of care are embedded within the culture of all branches.

Person Specification
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•Previous experience of Quality Management and business improvement activities
•Competent senior manager, with social care/health care experience
•Proven leadership and people management experience
•Experience of working across multiple business units
•Excellent knowledge and understanding of health care and social care regulations and standards.
•Complies, at all times, with the Company’s legal and regulatory policies and procedures and
importantly quality ethos
•Ability to interpret compliance and auditing information and manage trends
•Competent user of MS Office; good IT literacy
•Excellent presentation skills and excellent demonstration of written word

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Full driving licence & car driver. Flexible and adaptable to work across multiple sites and on various projects. Subject to DBS check and references.
