QUALITY MANAGER

The company is a contract manufacturer
of electrical and electronic assemblies.

Production methods include Surface mount, Flow solder, Conformal
coating, Looming, panel wiring, Cable manufacture, Mechanical assembly and a
range of cable preparation and crimping machines.
*
Clients served range from small start up businesses to
multinationals.
*
The company seek a Quality and Health & Safety Manager with
knowledge of electrical and electronic assembly methods, ISO9000, ISO14000 and
OHSAS18000.

Job
functions

*
Ensure continued registration with the existing standards:
*
ISO9000,ISO14000, OHSAS18000
*
This will include writing, publishing and auditing company
policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions. Provide training as
required.
*
Facilitate the external audits for ongoing registration. Assist
with external audits by clients.
*
Ensure risk assessments and required inspections are fulfilled.
*
In response to identified non conformances work with all
relevant departments to put corrective and preventative actions in place.
Record and monitor these actions.
*
Facilitate the company management review meeting and minute as
required.
*
Ensure continued customer satisfaction with regards to quality.
Acting as the “Final authority” with regards quality queries. Developing
relationships and liaising with client contacts as required.
*
Acting as the point of contact with regards ATEX, RoHS, REACH,
WEEE, Conflict Minerals and other client or legislative requirements.
*
Arranging of the rejection of non conforming materials to
suppliers.
*
Evaluate all customer returns to determine the validity of the
reject with the customer services staff.
*
Undertake regular review of complaints and returned items to
ensure that customer requirements are serviced to the best of the company
ability and available resource.
*
Control of the company anti-static handling methods and
equipment.
*
Plan, and ensure sufficient calibration is performed in
accordance with company client and legislative requirements.
*
Manage the waste materials of the company and arrange correct
disposal routes.
*
Monitor environmental Aspects and Impacts.
*
Maintain and ensure compliance with the company regulations
register.
*
Management of the Company Inspection department
*
Ensure that production items are cleared through the Inspection
department in order that customer orders are fulfilled to requirement.
*
Liaise with the Planning department to ensure that all dates
requested are met in respect of the test and inspection departments
