About the role:
Webtec are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Quality Inspector to support their production department. This is a hands-on and varied role with the opportunity to develop your skills.
As the Quality Inspector, you will take the lead in measuring and reviewing the quality of manufactured and purchased components throughout the production cycle.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting sample dimensional checks on manufactured and purchased parts
* Ensure all the associated measuring and inspection equipment is kept calibrated
* Take the lead in running the non-conformance process, investigating issues and helping with corrective and preventative actions
* Working with the manufacturing and engineering departments to help with the continuous improvement of products
Ideally you will have:
* Level 3 or above qualification in engineering or suitable technical subject
* 2 or more years’ experience of inspection, including dimensional checking in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in the use of measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometres, attribute gauges and shadowgraphs
* Good general IT skills
* Good verbal and written communications
* Be self-motivated and organised
Experience of using a modern ERP system, reviewing non-conformances, or operating a CNC CMM would be beneficial but not essential. Webtec has a strong focus on increasing the skills and knowledge of their team so suitable additional training will be provided.
This is a full time 39 hour/week on-site role.
