Quality Assurance Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QA Officer to join an established Biotechnology firm in the North East.
Reporting to the QA Manager, you will ideally have a sound understanding of quality assurance, experience in the preparation of technical documents and written reports, as well as being self-motivated and having a real eye for detail.

Duties will include:
• Maintenance of the Quality Management System to ISO 9001, FDA, GMP and CMDR standards
• Assist with the key quality processes (e.g. controlled document management, change management, CAPA, internal quality audit, training and supplier/vendor quality assurance)
• Performing document creation and updates, coordinating the approval and release of documents.
• Collating data for analysis – i.e. Distributor Questionnaire and Management Review
• Internal auditing
• Departmental spot checks
• Build internal relationships; improve knowledge of business and relative departments ensuring that quality is a high priority

The ideal candidate will have a background in Quality Assurance and specifically Quality Management Systems. General science based background with extensive administration and/or documentation control. Experience of internal auditing to ISO9001 and great communication skills, IT literacy are a must.
