Calling all buyers, senior buyers, purchasing and procurement professionals, this is a role that cannot be missed. Rarely does a role come around that combines function and purpose, allowing you to have a visibly tangible impact on the business whilst also allowing you to improve on its environmental credentials.
This SME manufacturing business is looking for someone to establish a professional purchasing function looking after both direct and indirect spend but also championing sustainability within the business to achieve its net zero ambition for 2030. Whilst we are looking for a seasoned procurement professional, all training and sharing of best practice on sustainability will be provided, giving you additional skills to tackle future challenges within industry.
The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?
To be considered you need to be able demonstrate the following:
* Previous experience of developing purchasing processes and systems in a manufacturing business.
* Experience of running professional sourcing, tender, audit and contract award processes.
* Previous experience of buying materials (mostly metals), consumables, equipment and energy.
* A desire or passion to improve the environment.
