The world’s largest Software House is looking to expand its Web Search Technology Team and bring in a Project Manager with experience in Data Mining or Data Analysis.

As a Project Manager you should have strong Program Management experience and experience in performing data mining on text data. The ideal candidate will also have a strong technical background with very good understanding on how to apply advanced knowledge to solve real problems.

You will have the opportunity to work with complex data, analysing it and relaying it and drawing conclusions. Any skills or background in Business Analysis and Big Data is therefore of use as well.

As the Project Manager you will be working alongside developers and so will also be working in an Agile/Scrum process environment and feeding tooling requirements to development team. You will also be performing deep dive analysis of measurement runs to determine an actionable outcome, publishing detailed materials on the results of analysis and presenting the findings to feature teams.

Required Technical/Functional Skills;
Strong Program Management experience.
in performing data mining on text data.
Strong technical background with very good understanding on how to apply advanced knowledge to solve real problems.

Highly desirable;
Excel power user.
Experience in scripting (Perl, Python).
Experience of a ‘Big Data’ environment.
The role is in Central London close to Victoria Station.

The role is initially a 6 month FTC but is likely to be extended. The rate is the equivalent of £68,400pa. However, if this is not what you’re looking for please do still send your details with your salary expectations as there may be flexibility for strong candidates.
