The Opportunity
Excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to deliver a major residential refurbishment/conversion with two additional floors forming 49 Apartments, basement gym and office space. The original building was the first purpose-built apartment block in Norwich and has since been used as both a cinema and a nightclub. The site is in a prime city centre location and experience of similar refurbishments is essential. You will be number 1 on site reporting to the Contracts Manager. The existing building is of traditional construction but in the course of the refurbishment major structural both steel and concrete will be required.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Project Manager with a background in delivering major refurbishments and conversions to Apartments or have significant other relevant main contractor experience. You will be number 1 on site and must be driven to deliver your project. You will be able to take ownership of the programme, procurement and all delivery aspects of a project. Provide regular reports to the client on all matters of programme, cost and quality on a project. Attend weekly site/client meetings. Provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager. Ensure that invoicing is up to date and work with the QS on site on applications. Sign off sub-contractor valuations and invoices for works completed. Write short term programmes, manage the contract programme & be aware of budgets, keeping within the project costs and successfully lead a site team to deliver an exceptional quality product, with key focus on detail and an eye for quality. Strong I.T. skills are essential as we have invested heavily in our I.T. to enable a smooth and time efficient flow of information to and from our sites. Longevity in your career is vital for the successful Site Manager, with a track history of taken projects from start to finish.
