Project Engineer – Materials Recycling

One of the UK’s leading and most respected recycling and waste management companies, is seeking a versatile, qualified engineer with previous experience in the design, build or operation of MRF’s to provide wide ranging input and support for the Company’s expanding network of recycling facilities.

Drawing on your combined engineering and practical experience of sorting systems and their integration you will be involved at the design stage and in planning, testing and commissioning facilities, technical enhancements and plant optimisation to improve efficiency and material quality. You will work closely with bid team members, site managers, operators and colleagues in the engineering team. The projects will be varied and the job-holder will have the opportunity to bring and apply the full breadth of their experience. The Company will actively support progress to Chartered status if desired.

Candidate Profile

• Engineering Degree or equivalent preferably mechanical, process, chemical, electrical. Candidates could have previous experience as a recycling engineer, project engineer, process engineer or similar
• Previous experience in the design, build, or operation/optimisation of Materials Recycling Facilities is essential. Experience working for recycling equipment manufacturer would also be relevant
• Self-motivated, comfortable working independently at a range of geographically dispersed locations
• Sound practical knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Full driving licence, significant UK travel will be a feature
