£30,000 to £45,000 Project Engineer – Automotive Powertrain. A key role focussed on the design, development, test and integration activities for low carbon vehicle powertrain technology. The company are a growing technology focussed business with expertise in powertrain, power electronics and controls systems developing carbon-reducing systems for vehicle manufacturers.

Working Environment, Opportunities and Rewards:
• You will work on a niche and current product range – working on the development of carbon-reducing automotive powertrain technology.

The role will involve:
• Leading the system design and integration activities to meet functional and performance requirements from initial concept through to customer or production launch.
• Provide technical input on the mechanical design and mechanical-electrical integration of carbon reducing technologies.
• Define design verification, testing and validation plans. Conduct and lead DFMEA’s.
• Support and approve testing activities.

This role will suit:
• Automotive / vehicle engineering industry experience specific to powertrain, engines, driveline, turbochargers, rotating electrical machines or exhaust systems would be preferable.
• An Engineer with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships to lead design and integration activities from initial concept through to customer or production launch.
• You are likely to be degree qualified in a Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar discipline.

This position is commutable from Coventry, Warwick, Birmingham, Rugby, Leicester, Northampton, Banbury, Leamington Spa, Hinckley, Tamworth, Coalville.
