Salary: £38,400 – £42,000 per year
Our client is a successful Project Management company, clients include a range of Blue Chip organisations. Their contracts include new installations and upgrades of telecommunications equipment, mainly within the mobile industry.
Project Engineers are responsible for planning, control, monitoring, reporting on progress, implementing QA and ensuring that health and safety is implemented on construction work. A Project Engineer is expected to drive excellence and best practice in all aspects of the construction phase and display leadership to ensure delivery of clients’ requirements and expectations.
MAIN DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Management of internal/external resources in the delivery of design, tendering, REC management, construction, I&C and site inspections
• H&S Management, including the implementation of CDM
• Maintenance of real time progress and weekly client reporting for all works on both internal and external databases
• Organisation of and attendance at Multi Skilled Visits (MSV’s), health and safety audits and handover inspections on sites
• Agreeing of variation instructions, compensation events and change requests and negotiation of valuations and final accounts
• Preparation of Tender Packages, enquiries, analysis, negotiation, scope of works and co-ordination of levelling activities culminating in client recommendation and issue of award letter
• Provision of design expertise and support to internal departments
• Benchmarking
• Liaising with all parties at all levels of the business
• Compiling hand over pack documentation
• Site Management – Conduct Site Inductions and oversee construction works
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Experience of client relationship management
• Working knowledge of Construction Design Management Regulations
• Experience of installation and commissioning on BTS/Node B equipment with variety of vendors, preferably extending to optimisation and integration
• Supplier management
• H&S Management
• Commercial awareness – Costing and benchmarking
• Knowledge of Construction and De-Construction practises and techniques
• ISO regulations – Able to operate within ISO conditions and regulations; previous experience in operating and/or implementing ISO regulations would be an advantage
• Rules, regulations, laws and bi-laws both English and EU; applicable to the Construction Industry
• Administrating and managing framework agreements with Sub-Contractors
• Computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft office packages including, word, excel and project
• Familiarity with real time activity reporting packages such as Access
• HNC Qualified in Civil Engineering / Building Services preferred but experience will be taken into account
IN RETURN YOU CAN EXPECT:
• Annual salary of £38,400 – £42,000per annum
• Pension contribution match up to 3%
• Death in service
• 22 days holiday rising to 27 with service
• 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
• Mileage allowance
