Salary: up to £26,000 per annum (DOE)

The objective of this role is to provide progression support and advice to students in the International Study Centre which is a critical component of ensuring their success and satisfaction in their academic journey. The goal is to help students navigate their educational path in a way that maximizes their outcomes and achievements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Support students for seamless progression to their chosen degree, ensuring a positive student experience.
  • Provide personal tutorage support and gather information to identify ways to support students.
  • Meet with students with poor attendance, liaising with the Progression & Transition Manager.
  • Assist Personal Tutors in monitoring attendance, delivering information, and referring students to appropriate services.
  • Assist in organising events, training Student Reps, and attending Student Forum meetings.
  • Support interaction with Alumni to involve students effectively.
  • Collaborate in inviting University partners, supporting late registration, and organising social and student-led activities.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience and knowledge of providing academic and/or pastoral support to international/ ESL students.
  • Experience in building strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues.
  • Experience in using data and reporting systems.
  • Experience in organising events/activities/projects.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to communicate to a variety of stakeholders, written and verbal, internal and external.
  • Strong IT and data management skills including competency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
