The Client & Role | Who Are They?

If you have a background in manufacturing and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the role for you. 1492 Search is seeking a full-time Production Team Leader to join a fast-paced manufacturing business in Oldham, and the role comes with a salary of up to £38,400pa.

Reporting to the production manager, you will support and direct production operators in maintaining production output during night shifts through the provision of technical and management support.

In your first week in this Production Team Leader role, you can expect to:

• Support the delivery of production product quality, striving for first right time manufacture RFT.
• Manage the cell operative team, ensuring that best practice, proactive and positive behaviours are promoted across the team.
• Support agency operatives with ongoing training needs as directed by your shift PTL.
• Deliver improvements in overall performance and procedures.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

To succeed in this manufacturing role, you will need excellent knowledge of high-volume manufacturing. You will also require:

• Good organisational skills, able to deal with numbers, facts and standards.
• The ability to manage and support others.
• A decisive, helpful, accommodating, enthusiastic, conscientious and inclusive approach.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques.
