Production Shift Leader

We at Adecco in Dundee are currently looking for a Production Shift Leader to join our client on a temporary ongoing basis. Successful candidates would manage and develop a shift operations team, machinery and material so that production targets are achieved in accordance with standard operating procedures, quality requirements, GMP and Health & Safety compliance.

Major Accountabilities
Responsible for directing operator work load and activities for the Shift team covering dispensing, manufacture, filling and label and pack operations.
Maintain excellent communication with shift team ensuring all plant changes and process status are fully understood by all relevant parties
Ensure Process Instructions, SOP’s and GMP are strictly followed at all time, and that documentation is completed accurately during the process and correctly signed
Responsible for control of equipment set up, maintenance and cleaning as per SOP’s
Lead, or appoint appropriate delegate, to ensure Root Cause Analysis is completed as required and appropriate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) is developed
Ensure safe and compliant management of safe systems of work
Ensure compliance with all risk assessments, COSSH data sheets and that approved Personal Protective Equipment, including clothing, is worn by all when required
Coach and train shift teams in process trouble shooting and plant understanding to ensure competency
Responsible for direct reports performance management review
Provide coaching, co-ordinate training and support to all shift teams.
Co-ordinate team and activities to ensure performance and deadline metrics are achieved.
Ensure that Factory security is maintained at all times.
Responsible for Warehouse operators, cleaners and associated activities present on Site outside office hours.
Carry out daily gmp audits of the area to ensure compliant with HSE, cGMP, 6S standards
Act as Fire Marshal for the site outside office hours
Deputise for Production Manager when required
Comply with all company local and global policies including Quality frameworks, Code of Conduct, Corporate Citizenship, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies.
Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management.

Experience:
Relevant Production experience in GMP environment
Manufacturing pharmaceutical background desirable, but not essential.
Proven track record in leading both small and large multi-disciplined teams.
Lean management, Six Sigma experience desirable but not essential.
