Salary: £26,000 – £27,600 per year

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business and develop a new role within the company.

The Duties Include.
Application of the company’s computerised manufacturing and production control system, for which full training will be provided, is essential together with good communication skills and a total commitment to achieve customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities.
• Maintain the works production schedule utilising the company operating system
• Develop processes and staff to fully utilise all aspects of the company operating system
• On a daily basis manage and ensure adherence to the production schedule in line with customer delivery schedules.
• Raise system compliant works order cards in line with the demand schedule
• Ensure works orders are raised 24 hours in advance of the required production start date
• Work with production, to monitor slippages and create recovery plans when necessary to ensure sales delivery date compliance
• Report identified late start dates, stating the root cause and actions taken with production to realign production activities to ensure schedule compliance
• Provide accurate monthly sales data verses projected sales.
• Liaise with purchasing to ensure availability of raw material to achieve compliant works order availability
• Manage the issuing of raw material in accordance with production demand, monitoring inventory levels
• Support all corrective actions including observations / reviews presented by the quality department
• Deputise for the production supervisor during holiday and sickness periods
• Fully support lean programmes: examples 6S and Lean manufacturing initiative programmes Uphold company policies as directed by the senior management team.

Skills Required.
Possibly with an Accounts or IT background or a graduate with a maths or accounts degree.

• Good written and verbal skills
• Report writing, time management.

This is a 39 hour week.
