Production Operative

Salary: £26,000 per year

Central Employment is currently recruiting production operatives on behalf of a national glass manufacturer with several factories across the UK.

Based in Stanley on the Harelaw industrial Estate (DH9), you will observe the following shift pattern: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10:30pm and 10pm-6am on a rotating basis. Or you can choose to just do a 6am-2pm and 2pm-10:30pm Rotating.

Previous factory experience is an advantage, however full training is provided. Of equal importance is good time and attendance, a hardworking attitude and the ability to work to strict Health & Safety regulations. The ability to work well within a team is also something we look for.

You will be producing Glass Panels which travel across the factory from Goods-in via the production line all the way to the dispatch section of the warehouse. Duties include machine operating and quality control which can cover working on the furnaces to the manual cutting tables.

In return, you can expect a Salary: of £26,000per year (6am-2pm), £26,000 per year (2pm-10:30pm, 7:30pm finish on a Friday) and £26,000 per year for nightshift. A permanent contract is available after 12 weeks dependent on achieving the required standard which can lead to further progression within the business. Once permanent Salary: s will rise, with days going to £26,000 per year, backs to £26,000 per year and Nights to £26,000 per year, plus training opportunities to further increase your Salary:.
