Production Operatives

Salary: £26,000 – £38,961 per year

We are currently seeking reliable production operatives who has a willingness to learn to join our clients well established team on a temp to perm basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a food manufacturing environment and have good communication and literacy skills, competent with Microsoft software packages. Must be able to work in a role that has physical demands.

1. Undertake tasks in the production areas as required including sealing product and checking for any quality issues, taking and analysing samples, monitoring and recording results as required

2. Using safe working practices and relevant documentation, carry out tasks relevant to the area, such as loading and unloading Tankers and/or Lorries (using FLT) and monitor the product by taking and sampling product and packaging

3. Use business systems to accurately manage/record the movement of all forms of stock (including but not limited to finished/semi-finished goods, packaging, ingredients)

4. Closely monitor production quality and adjusting equipment settings to meet specification.

5. Operate and monitor food safety equipment and report any exceptions.

6. Undertake Cleaning tasks relevant to the area and Cleaning in Place (CIP) of plant, silos and Tankers and other food processing equipment.

7. Work within all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety and Food safety standards

8. To carry out any other work determined to be within the level of competence to meet the business requirements.

Hours: Double Day Shift a 2-week shift pattern consisting of a week of early shifts 05:45 to 14:15 Monday to Friday and a week of late shifts 13:45 to 22:15 Monday to Friday (with some flex in the shift start times).

29 days holiday including bank holidays, Enhanced overtime rates.
