Salary: £48,000 – £57,600 per year
Production Manager: A new and exciting position has become available at a successful and growing manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire. The company manufacture and supply automotive components. The company are currently in the process of taking on a Production Manager.
They are looking for a production manager who can bring a lot of experience to the position. They want a production manager who has worked in a variety of engineering or manufacturing environments including automotive. Candidates need to have previously managed a production or manufacturing team successfully and can demonstrate that they can lead and motivate a team of engineers. Excellent verbal communication is key along with the ability to develop plans and out schedules and dead lines in place.
The main responsibility of the role will be to manage and be responsible for a number of independent production lines. You will plan, co ordinate and successfully control the processes to make sure there is efficiency and that the high quality standards are met.
Primary Duties:
• Supervise production planning and co-ordinate with your section leaders to ensure accurate scheduling and on time delivery
• Evaluate department practices and performance and take appropriate action to increase the department output and performance where necessary
• Continuously review, resolve and modify effective lean solutions without reducing quality levels or availability
• Ensure all technical instructions are being followed correctly; advising and requesting modifications as necessary
• Offer and provide leadership and direction to key staff
• Plan staff holidays, absences, vacancies and performance issues with the support of HR
