Production Manager: An exciting and immediate position has become available at a successful engineering company based in Barnsley. The company are a precision engineering company who are looking to take on a Production Manager.

They are looking for a Production Manager who has worked within a variety of engineering environments. The company are looking for a successful Production Manager with experience of driving LEAN and Continuous Improvement techniques within a manufacturing environment. Candidates need to demonstrate that they have experience man-managing a team of engineers. They are looking for a strategic thinking and hardworking individual who is going to come in and have positive impact on the company.

The overall aim will be to ensure the companies production area and production staff operate in a safe, controlled, effective and compliant manner closely aligned to the business objectives and ultimately the changing needs of the customers.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all KPI’s are achieved in order to fulfil defined Company requirements.
• Improve communication methods around the production plan in order to increase awareness of priorities.
• Monitor and maintain our skills base in order to ensure that we have the best skill set possible to grow the business.
• Manage efficiencies – both group and individual, in order to identify areas for improvement.
• Manage capacity in line with Production Plan, so as to provide sufficient resource to fulfil 100% on-time delivery; plan for the future and provide a flexible workforce.
• Ensure that the appropriate levels of training are provided in order to increase flexibility and motivation through staff development.
• Ensure that all staff members are working to prescribed processes so as to improve quality levels in all areas.

This company can offer a salary of £54,000 + A bonus scheme up to £7k.
